Anonymous to Attack Bureau of Prisons and Washington District Court – Video

Anonymous hacktivists have initiated a campaign called Operation Grand Jury Resisters (OpGJResisters).

“It has recently come to our attention that the FBI, local police and the department of homeland security are now and have been engaged in acts of espionage against US citizens,” the hackers said.

“Their only reasoning for doing this is they feel threatened by their own citizens. It is clear that they would not feel this way if they were acting appropriately in the first place.”

The operation comes in response of the arrests and trials commenced by authorities after the violent demonstrations that took place in Seattle back in May 2012. An investigation was launched and a grand jury was put together to oversee the trial against the suspects.

The hackers claim that, in reality, authorities have started a witch-hunt against “anarchists and others working toward a more just, free, and equal society.”

The hacktivists urge their supporters to launch attacks against the websites of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington and the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The attacks will take place every Monday morning and on days court dates are announced.
