Officials from Netherlands already took a step back as far as the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) is concerned, but they didn’t make any promises that it would not be eventually ratified. Anonymous wants to make sure that ACTA isn’t approved so they made a video statement for the country’s leaders.

The digitized voice urges the government to take a stand just as Poland did and ensure that ACTA will never be ratified.

The hacktivists also highlight the fact that Holland already has its own ACTA in the form of BREIN, the anti-piracy foundation that represents the rights of authors, artists, publishers and producers.

“We think it’s more than enough. This is warning. Don’t agree with ACTA or we will stand up for our freedom of internet and the consequence are for the Dutch government,” the hackers say.

“We are anonymous Holland. We are against violence, but we cannot guarantee there will be no violence if you agree with ACTA.”
