No more DDoS and defacements as this time they want physical protests

The infamous hacktivist group is making one threat after another. After recently they threatened Congress that if they pass SOPA they'll be wiped off the internet, now they want to go after the United States government for trying to censor the internet.

“This is an urgent emergency alert to all people of the United States. The day we've all been waiting for has unfortunately arrived. The United States is censoring the internet. Our blatant response is that we will not sit while our rights are taken away by the government we trusted them to preserve. This is not a call to arms, but a call to recognition and action!” reads the message from a Pastebin post.

Anonymous claims that the government is only offering a false sense of freedom and in fact they keep limiting citizens on what they can do, think and even learn.

ISP and DNS blockades, search engine censorship and website censorship are just a few of the methods they believe the US is using to limit individuals.

“Has the U.S. government not learned from the past? Has it not seen the 2011 revolutions? Has it not seen that we oppose this wherever we find it and that we will continue to oppose it? Obviously the United States Government thinks they are exempt,” Anonymous states.

Unlike other operations where hackers are called in to perform a hacking mission, in this case there will be no distributed denial of service attack and no website defacement, instead they want to rely on the masses for a physical protest.

“Go to every IRC network, every social network, every online community, and tell them of the atrocity that is about to be committed. If protest is not enough, the United States government shall see that we are truly legion and we shall come together as one force opposing this attempt to censor the internet once again, and in the process discourage any other government from continuing or trying,” they conclude.
