The infamous hacker group once again tries to draw the attention of the media, this time declaring in a video that the New York Stock Exchange will be brought down on October 10 in reply to the government's and law enforcement's actions.

PCMag provided the transcript of the Anonymous video which announces their latest plan against the state, urging supporters to help bring down the NYSE.

“It seems that the government and federal agencies enjoy enforcing the law a little bit too much. They instate unjust laws as mindless automatons, blindly following orders with soulless precision,” revealed the video.

“We witness the government enforcing the laws that punish the 99 percent while allowing the 1 percent to escape justice, unharmed, for their crimes against the people.”

After listing the things that make them unhappy, the group claims“This is why we choose to declare our war against the New York Stock Exchange. We can no longer stay silent as the population is being exploited and forced to make sacrifices in the name of profit.”

“We will show the world that we are true to our word. On Oct. 10, NYSE shall be erased from the Internet. On Oct. 10, expect a day that will never, ever be forgotten.”

It is not yet certain what exactly will happen to the website, but voices are speculating a DDoS attack on the NYSE.com website.

Anonymous has been very active recently, supporting the Occupy Wall Street protest which they encourage with messages throughout the internet. Last week they also issued a warning to the NYPD to stop physically abusing the protestors, otherwise they'll share the fate of law enforcement in Egypt.

Also, in an attempt to attract the media's attention they collaborated with Lyricist Jinn and TeaMp0isoN, the hacktivits group allegedly responsible for the latest protest in the United Kingdom, on a song that raps against the system.
