The hackers blame them for killing dogs to clean up the streets for a major event

Anonymous hacktivists revealed their latest operation, OpUkraine, launched against the Ukrainian government and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the targets being considered responsible for “slaughtering” animals in preparation for the EURO 2012 event.

The hackers state that 80,000 dogs have been killed so far, but the authorities censor this act and fabricate media reports to clear their reputation.

“Over 1 Million people have signed various petitions addressed directly to the UEFA and Ukrainian Government calling for an end to these inhumane acts, yet they ignore every complaint,” Anonymous writes.

UEFA President Michel François Platini and Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukohvich are considered the only ones responsible for the “massacre on animals,” and now the hackers plan to retaliate against their actions.

Once the operation is launched, we can only expect that some website may be attacked or defaced in sign of protest, so stay tuned to find out how things evolve.
