The hacktivists say that the blockade is a way of disrupting the flow of information

On April 30, the UK High Court ordered all the country’s Internet service providers to block The Pirate Bay. As a result of that decision, hacktivists have revealed their plans to attack the site of the Supreme Court (supremecourt.gov.uk).

“#OperationPayback - Target locked: http://www.supremecourt.gov.uk | Reason: #Censorship by disrupting the flow of #information. | #SaveTPB, Expect us,” the hackers wrote on Twitter.

This comes after Virgin Media blocked the controversial site for its customers. Other ISPs have yet to follow.

While hacktivists may be supporting The Pirate Bay, it’s well known that the owners of the service are not ones to give up easily.

Numerous law suits and raids were unable to stop TPB so far and it seems that this latest blockade may also be only temporary since the site’s representatives have already come up with ways to evade it.
