Anonymous hackers have published a video statement to warn the Greek government that it has once again become a target of the hacktivist movement. The threat comes in light of the government’s decision to shut down ERT, or Hellenic Broadcasting Corp, in an effort to cut down on public spending.

The hackers are unhappy with the fact that 2,500 people have lost their jobs.

“It has come to our attention that you continue to fire people who have children. This Is unacceptable,” the hacktivists said in the video published on Wednesday. “You must know that you are our target now.”

They claim that the operation against the Greek government will start on June 15, but the video shows that several websites, including the government’s main online portal, have already been attacked.

In the meantime, ERT employees are defying the government’s orders, doing their best to keep broadcasting.
