The hackers accuse the steel and mining company of playing with lives

Anonymous Belgium released an official video to threaten ArcelorMittal representatives, making the company an official target after they failed to keep their promise to Belgian citizens that the Cockeril factory would be a long-term investment.

“A few weeks ago, ArcelorMittal announced it would close this factory after-all and put more than 600 workers out of job directly. It is however estimated that more than 4000 workers might lose their job indirectly due to that decision,” Anonymous members said.

Since they believe that the situation is “unfair and unacceptable,” Anonymous Belgium declares ArcelorMittal, a Fortune 500 integrated steel and mining company, their enemy.

In other words, the company should secure its public websites and their members because the hacktivists will probably try to take over their digital assets, and judging by past operations, the likelihood that they’ll succeed is fairly high.
