The hacktivist collective acquired another target they believe to represent a threat to human rights and freedom of speech. Belgium’s Anti-Piracy Federation (BREIN) is targeted by the hackers after they obtained court orders that force ISPs to block the controversial Pirate Bay.

“The Dutch battleships are successfully undocked! Great work, unfortunately Belgium has to deal with several ISPs who block our access to sites like The Pirate Bay. This is a direct attack on our human rights and freedom of speech. We shall not tolerate this,” Anonymous says.

Anonymous launched a similar campaign in Finland where the country’s anti-piracy outfit became a primary target after obtaining a similar court order.

Anonymous Finland hit the websites IFPI.fi and antipiracy.fi with a massive distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, keeping them offline for several days.
