In a video statement published on October 10, Anonymous Philippines called on Filipino citizens to join their “million mask march” on November 5, 2013.

“The government, in many ways, has failed its Filipino citizens. We have been deprived of things which they have promised to give; what our late heroes have promised us to give. Let us remind the government that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words. They are perspectives,” the hackers stated.

The activists urge all Filipinos to join them in a protest outside the gates of the country’s Supreme Court.

“To the ‘incorrupt’ officials of the government, we are challenging you!” Anonymous Philippines concluded its statement.

November 5, known as Guy Fawkes Day, is the day when Anonymous hacktivists and their supporters from all over the world launch cyberattacks and physical protests against governments and organizations.
