Anonymous hackers have brought down the official website of CasaPound Italy (casapounditalia.org), a far-right group accused by the hacktivists of Nazism and Fascism.

The hackers are demanding that the government break up the group that has been linked to numerous armed confrontations with minorities.

The hacktivists have published an article from the country’s constitution which clearly stipulates that Fascist groups are prohibited.

“The CasaPound party, which, nevertheless, was able to report to the last election, is addicted to violence, it’s oppressive, racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic, and also has a tendency to arm themselves,” a translation of the hackers’ statement reads.

“Their methods, in line with the famous ‘God, Country, Family,’ do not differ from those of the Fascist black shirts that gave rise to tuna fishing and mass murder.”

Earlier this year, the group even attempted, but failed, to occupy seats in the country’s parliament.
