Geert Wilders’ visit to Australia has been met with numerous protests. Because of this, the Dutch far-right Member of Parliament hasn’t been able to find a venue to host him in Perth.

Besides the physical protests that take place these days, Anonymous hacktivists have launched their own anti-Wilders campaign.

In a statement posted on Monday, hackers threatened to attack the website of the Q Society of Australia and the one of Halal Choices, which they accused of promoting false information.

“The far right fascist Islamophobe Geert Wilders is currently in Australia for some speaking engagements, his visit and his speaking engagements are being run by a far-right anti-Islamic 'think-tank' called the Q Foundation,” the hacktivists stated.

“We find it outrageous that the Australian government has basically rolled out the red carpet for somebody like Geert Wilders, a man whose only purpose in visiting Australia is inciting racial hatred and religious vilification, whilst hundreds of asylum seekers languish inside detention  centers for months and sometimes years on end inside Australia.”

At the time of writing, both websites appeared to be working properly.
