The initiators of the project hope to attract attention to the content of leaks

Until recently, many Anonymous supporters saw WikiLeaks as a great ally, but it turns out that not everyone was satisfied with the site’s “services.” As a result, an alternative – Potentially Alarming Research: Anonymous Intelligence Agency (Par:AnoIA) – was initiated.

Launched in March 2012, Par:AnoIA currently hosts releases entitled “The Pirate Bay Proxy”, “HBGary Email Viewer”, “Arrest Tracker” and “FBI call transcript.”

Unlike WikiLeaks, the individuals behind the Par:AnoIA project don’t collect the information they publish themselves. Instead, everything is submitted by the Anonymous community.

Talking to Wired, a representative of the website has explained that they hope to attract more attention to the actual content of data leaks.

In the past few days, there has been some conflict between WikiLeaks and Anonymous.

“Whoever is behind @AnonymousIRC and is trying to get people to use insecure proxies and storage facilities is foolish, malicious or both,” WikiLeaks tweeted.

“Wikileaks, didn't your mother teach you to not [expletive] where you eat? It seems not, so you have to be shown why it isn't a good idea,” came the response.
