The Bulgarian faction of the Anonymous hacktivist community has launched a protest campaign against the local government. One of their targets is the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance.

The hackers attacked the website of the ministry on Sunday and made it inaccessible to visitors. They claim they’ll continue their protest, The Hackers Blog informs.

On their Facebook page, Anonymous Bulgaria have explained that they “can’t tolerate” the country’s government.

“We are not doing this just for fun, we want to show you that there are still people in this country who care, who are not yet brainwashed,” the hackers stated.

They emphasize the fact that students and pensioners are living on low wages, but politicians don’t care about them.
