14 DAY TRIAL // On Wednesday night, famous Canadian pop artist Justin Bieber was seen wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, the symbol of the Anonymous hacktivist movement. The hackers are not too happy about it.
This is not the first time Justin Bieber is seen wearing a mask, but most members of Anonymous don’t want to be associated with the controversial celebrity.
“OK, Anonymous, I think I finally found a reason for you to burn your Fawkes masks,” one commenter wrote.
“Just saw a picture of Justin Bieber in a Guy Fawkes Mask. Anonymous, please remove him from earth,” another user noted.
Others took things even further and created a Facebook event page that encourages hacktivists to go after the pop star.
“Greetings citizens of the world we are Anonymous! It has come to our attention that Justin Bieber has made mockery of Anonymous. We now unite and make it known to Justin that Anonymous are not to be taken lightly,” the creators of the Facebook page wrote.
For the first phase of the operation against Bieber, the hackers plan on “flooding” his social media accounts.
