These days, hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine are protesting against the government’s decision not to sign an agreement with the European Union. Anonymous hackers stepped in after police started using force against the protesters.

Some Anonymous hackers want Ukraine to be independent of the EU, NATO and other countries. However, other hacktivists have taken sides with those protesting the government’s decision.

“Recently, we have seen the police use barbaric tactics on peaceful protesters. Anonymous, is not delighted. The people of Ukraine are on the brink of a revolution,” they stated in a video threatening the government.

Distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks have been launched against the websites of the Presidency, the main government portal, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Anonymous threatens that it will “unleash its fury” on the Ukrainian government over the next 120 hours.
