John Anthony Borell III, 22, known on the web as Anonymous hacker “ItsKahuna,” has pleaded guilty to five hacking-related charges.

According to The Associated Press, Borell agreed to admit hacking the websites of the LA County Canine Police Association, the Salt Lake City police, Syracuse police, Utah Chiefs of Police Association, City of Springfield, and the one of a local community website in Illinois called “Pendleton Underground.”

“Regarding all of these hacks, I knew that what I was doing was illegal. I admit that I intentionally caused damage to protected computers by my conduct,” Borell stated in court records.

If the plea agreement is approved by the court, the hacker will get three years in prison and he will have to pay restitution.

The sentencing is scheduled for August 21, 2013. In the meantime, Borell was granted a court-approved release.
