The campaign is aimed against those who abuse children

A couple of days ago, Anonymous hackers announced their intention to initiate Operation Alice Day (OpAliceDay), a campaign that involves distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks, defacements, and doxing.

So who is the target of the campaign?

In the US, April has been declared by Congress as Child Abuse Prevention month. However, according to the hackers, this is the same month in which child abusers celebrate their own holiday, dubbed Alice Day.

“Many [child abusers] believe it is okay for them to celebrate ‘loving’ a female child that day,” the hackers stated.

Which is why the hacktivists call on their supporters and “Anonymous operatives” to “deface and cause chaos” on these abusers’ networks.

This is only a small part of a long anti child abuse campaign carried out by Anonymous hackers.
