Anonymous Africa continues its operation against governments they consider corrupt. The hacktivists’ latest targets are the official portal of the government of the Kingdom of Swaziland (gov.sz) and the website of Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Defence (mod.gov.zw).

“gov.sz is Tango Down for crimes against democracy. Swaziland monarchy needs to democratize,” Anonymous Africa wrote on Twitter around 3 hours ago.

After keeping the Swaziland government portal offline for around two hours, the hackers once again turned their attention to Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe.

The hacktivists launched a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack against the website of the country’s Ministry of Defence.

According to the hackers, Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Defence has upgraded its security after the last series of attacks. However, the attackers still managed to take the website down by “adapting” their tactics.

“mod.gov.zw is Tango Down. For crimes against humanity and the genocide of the Ndebele people,” the hackers announced 1 hour ago.

Anonymous Africa says the attack on Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Defence will stop shortly, new undisclosed targets being lined up.
