Owners of Android-based devices interested in enjoying a graphically appealing game can now download Anomaly 2, the sequel of the popular Anomaly Warzone Earth.

The mobile game has been launched with the core elements of the original inside, but with brand new features, including enhancements to the single-player campaign.

Furthermore, the new title comes with a dynamic tower defense vs. tower offense multiplayer mode, which should put users’ skills to the test.

Anomaly 2 was designed to take the RTS tower offense concept from the original Anomaly Warzone Earth to an entirely new level, courtesy of a series of brand new features.

Among these, we can count the possibility to morph troops into war mechs, so as to discover new strategies, given that each unit has a different mech form and abilities, so as to meet any combat situations.

Additionally, Anomaly 2 allows users to play either as the towers to destroy the humans, or to lead the humans in their battle to annihilate the alien towers.

“In the years following the invasion of Earth in 2018, the planet is overrun by alien machines. Humankind is on the verge of extinction,” the game’s description reads.

“Banded together in huge convoys, they search the frozen tundra for food and supplies. Since the war, the roles have been reversed: now our species seems to be the Anomaly on a machine-controlled planet. Your convoy, Commander, is called Yukon.”

The game proposes a post-apocalyptic world when playing the new single-player campaign, while allowing users to create their own ultimate battle squad, with almost endless options in combat.

The new title also sports an upgraded and improved visual engine, and proposes various alternative endings, depending on the manner in which players approach enemy machines in the campaign.

The new Anomaly 2 game is available for purchase through the Google Play store, with a price tag of $4.99 attached to it. It is compatible with all devices running under Android 2.2 or newer, and features optimizations for tablets.
