BlueByte and Ubisoft have announced the introduction of a new feature in their free-to-play strategy game Anno Online.

Anno Online is a free-to-play strategic building browser game based on BlueByte's popular Anno series.

Its players are now able to build monumental constructions that will afford them considerable in-game bonuses. The new buildings will be unlocked by completing specific quest chains that will give players knowledge points.

The first unlockable monument is The Library, that will allow players access to a new tech tree, consisting of several branches where knowledge points can be spent to unlock 6 different types of Botanical Garden, each type offering a different buff or bonus.

Players have to manually deliver materials to the construction site and search for special construction components in-game.

The new feature will also contain a multiplayer element, as players can interact with others and help them in their monument building enterprise by sending laborers to the construction site for specific periods of time.

Players can also request the help of others in order to hasten the construction process of their buildings.
