Kanye West has long made the transition from rapper to fashion designer and, in the latter capacity, he enjoys the respect, admiration and attention of everyone who’s anyone, including Vogue editor Anna Wintour. His girlfriend Kim Kardashian, not so much.
Kim and Anna have a long history, if one may call it that, with Wintour reportedly
“banning” the reality star from the prestigious MET Gala earlier this year.
The two have recently crossed paths again, this time at the New York Fashion Week 2012, but Wintour has shown no signs of developing any warmer feelings towards the bootilicious Kim, InTouch Weekly writes in its latest print issue (story via
CB).
“Style icon Anna Wintour showed rapper-designer Kanye West plenty of love at the Spring 2013 Marchesa show, but the warm reception wasn’t extended to his girlfriend Kim Kardashian,” InTouch writes.
The weirdest thing about this new diss is that Anna and Kim were practically in each other’s face at all times.
“Anna wouldn’t even look at her; it was obvious Anna doesn’t like her in the least. Meanwhile, Anna was kissy-kissy with Kanye. It couldn’t have been funnier,” an eyewitness shares for the celebrity publication.
Another source offers a possible theory for Anna’s obvious dislike of Kim: she’s using the exposure she gets as a reality star to insert herself into all sorts of events within the fashion world, where Anna believes she doesn’t belong.
“Anna loathes the fact that Kim gains access to events over people associated with the fashion world,” the spy explains.
As we
also reported at the time, after the MET Ball 2012, Anna was allegedly telling friends the only way in which Kim Kardashian would ever grace the cover of fashion bible Vogue would be “over her dead body.” So far, she seems in perfect health.
