The world’s fascination with the tragic life and ending of former Playmate, actress and glamour model Anna Nicole Smith has not dwindled, despite the fact that it’s been almost two years since she passed away from an accidental overdose. Last night, her two-year-old daughter Dannielynn and father Larry Birkhead made a surprise appearance on Larry King Live to meet former judge Larry Seidlin.

Seidlin was the judge who ruled in the 2007 trial that Smith’s remains be buried in the Bahamas, next to those of her son Daniel. His tearful speech at the end of the trial, as well as the manner in which he conducted the whole rather sordid affair, got the public to sing him praises for being the only one to keep a cool head in the midst of the scandal. Last night, Seidlin got to meet the one person whose life had been completely changed by his ruling.

The judge never met Anna Nicole Smith’s baby before, so he was genuinely surprised when she walked on the set in the company of her father. “She’s a beautiful little girl and I’m glad everything is working out. Larry [Birkhead] is a great father.” Seidlin told Larry King, visibly moved by the presence of the little girl on set.

The judge resigned shortly after the Anna Nicole Smith case was closed, but he has remained in the spotlight ever since, mostly because he has showed the world that he truly got involved in the case. “I want you to understand that I reviewed absolutely everything. I have struggled with this. I have shed tears. Justice is not perfect, it’s what is reasonable.” he said when he gave his sentence, with tears in his eyes.

Anna Nicole Smith died in February 2007 from what the autopsy revealed was an accidental drug overdose. Since, at the time of her death, she was still in the middle of a lawsuit with the family of her late husband, if that case ends favorably for the late blonde star and she’s granted part of the Marshall estate, Dannielynn will be a rich girl one day.
