Texas-born voluptuous beauty Anna Nicole Smith just won in court the right to pursue her former husband's hundreds of millions. The U.S. Supreme Court today awarded Anna Nicole Smith the right to continue her legal battle. Smith
's former husband, oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall died in 1995, after a brief 14 month marriage with the blond star. The aftermath of their marriage and his death was an evergoring 11 years trial between the widow and Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall.
Anna Nicole Smith's step son claims she is only entitled to the $ 6 million dollars gifts she received during her marriage. When Smith and J. Howard Marshall married, back in 1994, she was a 26 years old former playmate and Marshall was an 89 year old oil tycoon.
Today the Supreme Court's Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ruled that the recent ruling in the appeals court, which entitled Smith to nothing, was wrong. So more legal pursuit is to come for Smith. The former stripper was warned by E. Pierce Marshall that he will not give up his claims for the entire fortune, no matter how long the trial will last: ""(I'll) continue to fight to clear my name in California federal court. That is a promise that (Smith) and her lawyers can take to the bank."
The trial took place in Washington, D.C. And during all the proceedings the widow stood quietly, properly dressed all in black, until she started crying.
Leaving aside the quality (and quantity) of her former marriage, the step son is not without any blame, as his actions during the trial are far from polite or even legal, according to hollywood.com, "E. Pierce Marshall had altered and destroyed documents to keep the fortune out of the young widow's hands. Breyer also cited evidence that detectives were employed to keep Smith away from her bedside."
