The woman who made all the headlines with her marriage to the wheelchair-bound millionaire J. Marshall Howard and especially with the bitter legal feud that began after the latter's death, is again at the center of all the attention as the birth of her baby girl is followed by the demise of her 20-year-old son.

Anna Nicole Smith gave birth on September 7th to a healthy girl, weighing 6 pounds and 9 ounces. The former porn starlet chose a clinic in Bahamas to bring the child into the world and was accompanied through the entire experience by her son, Daniel.

On Sunday, only a couple of days after the happy event, Daniel was found dead in his room and the cause of his death is yet to be established. The bombshell refused to make any comment on the tragic surmise of her son and her attorney, Howard K. Stern gave a press statement, asking the media to understand and to respect her time of grief.

'Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being', the 38-year-old star's lawyer said. He also addressed the question of Daniel's death in more precise terms, by saying that, quote, 'We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor'.

Anna Nicole still has to pick up a name for the newborn baby girl. The starlet always refused to say who the father of her second child was.
