Anna Nicole Smith Can Rest Now: Baby's Got a Daddy!

Ever since February, Anna Nicole Smith's life has been monitored by the media and the public more than it had been back when the starlet was still alive: questions concerning how she had lived the last months of her life in the Bahamas, who might have supplied her with drugs, who might have supplied her with the ones that eventually killed her, who was the real father of Danni and who would finally inherit the money from her first husband, oil billionaire Howard J. Marshall, became something as common as the daily weather forecast.

There was more than one factor involved in this whole Anna Nicole Smith scandal, but the major three players were identified from the very start: Howard K. Stern, Anna's friend, lawyer and lover, Larry Birkhead, a celebrity photographer with whom the model had an affair before moving to the Bahamas, and Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole's estranged mother. These three were the ones who fought in court for the custody of the model's body and over where to bury her and, also, the ones who continued to fight over who would get to keep the baby.

Now we can finally say that the Anna Nicole Smith saga, drama or whichever term suits you best, is one step closer to coming to an end. A judge announced today that the DNA test (the one that Stern refused to take a long time ago, doing his best to prevent or delay it) shows that Larry Birkhead is the baby daddy of Dannielynn Hope and not Stern, as the birth certificate has it.

While the decision could have been seen coming a long time ago (since Larry went shopping for baby clothes and furniture almost a month ago), Stern was still dumbfounded when the judge made the results public. Birkhead, on the other hand, was glowing. 'I hate to be the one to tell you so... but I told you so', he proudly told the media representatives gathered outside the courthouse (who, by the way, were cheering and yelling his name).

Although the case is far from closed (there still are issues pending, like when will Larry get to take Danni home, who will be her legal custody, who will manage her inheritance and will her grandmother challenge the decision - which she already said she would), one thing is for certain: Dannielynn Hope no longer has X potential fathers, but only one. 99.9999999 percent sure!
