Anna Nicole Smith Brings New Meaning to Nutso

And the saga has barely begun!

Even if the former glamour girl and her current man, long time attorney and friend Howard K. Stern, have both said that they can't wait for the paternity test to be performed on baby Dannielynn, they are now trying to do everything to push back the term.

In December, a judge ordered Smith to bring her daughter to the US for a DNA test no later than January 23rd, so that a decision can be reached as to who is the real father of the child. Larry Birkead, a celebrity photographer Smith dated once, claims that he is the one who got her pregnant and that is why he is leaving the court to establish the facts via the paternity test. On the other hand, Stern's story is exactly the same: he is the real father and, in order to make it more official, he signed his name on Dani's birth certificate.

At the time the court order was made public, Anna responded from her newly purchased Bahamian pad by saying that they would surely comply, because that would be the perfect way to put the ordeal behind them and to finally move on. Now, a day before the date stipulated by the judge, she is again up to her old tricks, talking to her lawyers about pushing the term back.

It seems that the always inventive Smith has already come up with a legal loophole in the fact that the order has to be first stamped by a judge from the Bahamas (although, ironically, she wasn't granted permanent residence there). The reasoning is simple: because she can't travel with Dani all the way to L.A., the order of the judge has to receive a stamp of approval from a Bahamian one so that she can undertake the test from there. Logically, the technicians from the US lab appointed by the court can't do this, because they don't have work permits for the Bahamas.

Meanwhile, the former 'Playboy' bunny so familiar with all legal aspects is losing law suits, left and right. First, she sued another of her ex lovers, G. Thompson, whom she accused of illegally throwing her out of the house he had given her as a gift. A judge ruled yesterday that the waterfront mansion was not hers and that she had already lived in it for way too long.

Not even her own team of lawyers is happy with the way she is acting. A Bahamas law firm sued Smith yesterday for not paying her legal fees, summing up to $113,000. In order to get back at least some of what she owes them, the law firm froze Smith's bank account until the matter is solved.

Wow, talk about drama! Who needs 'The Young and the Restless' when you have something that good as Anna Nicole Smith and her many legal 'adventures'?!
