'I might have to step in and be both parents'

The photojournalist Larry Birkhead stepped out and said that the baby girl to whom the former 'Playboy' starlet gave birth a couple of days ago, named Hannah, is actually his own. The two had an on-and-off relationship for a couple of years, but Anna refused to reveal the name of the child's father, both when announcing that she was pregnant and after giving birth.

Although the starlet is presently in mourning after her son passed away, only three days after Hannah made her appearance in this world, the alleged father of the infant says that he plans to be as involved as possible in her being raised.

Even more, if he the case calls for it, he will also drag her into court for permanent custody, he claims. Birkhead said in recent interview that, considering the great loss she has sustained, she might not be able to bring up her second child appropriately.

'I'll do everything possible to become a part of the child's life and if this is too much for Anna to handle I might have to step in and be both parents.', the journalist stated. ' I'm worried about her because she lost her son and that is tragic and that's something that I can't make sense of. I'm worried also that now that she has experienced such a loss that possibly she can't be the mother that she needs to be... I'm ready, I'm willing, I'm able to take care of a child, to be a father', Birkhead explained.

The alleged father also said that he kept quiet until now because he simply couldn't understand Anna's weird behavior, although he proved to her time and time again that he does want to be a part of the child's life and that he is skilled to be a competent father. He concluded the interview by stating that things would better be settled amicably because, if not, the case will go to court.
