In a series of recent interviews, Anna Nicole Smith revealed that she is sick and tired of the scandal that her former lover stirred when he claimed that the house she lived in was, in fact, his. The saga began when Ben G. Thompson said that Smith lied in the papers asking for permanent residence in the Bahamas, because she stated that the property was hers when it wasn't.
On several occasions, the business man and his son-in-law flew to the Bahamas to serve Anna with eviction papers and were even forced to intercede with the power company and have the electricity cut off. Plus, media outlets inform that the former model, her boyfriend and their daughter also lived without running water for a couple of days, just for refusing to leave the property.
But the 'Playboy' Playmate is a regular in court houses, so she had her army of lawyers see to the matter and counter-filed against Thompson. 'It's a big story, someone is trying to evict me. I own this house and I'm going to let the courts handle it.', Smith said, adding that a judge has already granted her a restraining order against the 'person', presumably Thompson.
However, while still claiming to the four winds that the waterfront mansion is hers, Anna decided to move out of it. If, until now, she had no money to call her own, she now got her hands on some cash and, together with Howard Stern, bought another house in the Bahamas.
'I've actually bought a new house and it's really nice. It's on a dock and it's a big house, lots of bedrooms and I'm really excited about the house. We love it here. The people have been great. My son is buried here, my daughter was born here and I expect to be here for a while.', the still grieving mother explained.
The question of what right she has to be given permanent residence on the island is still to be determined, as also is that of her daughter's real father.
