Anixter, the world's largest distributor of communication products and an authorized distributor of Nortel in the Philippines and the ASEAN region, has just announced a promotional offering to help local small and medium businesses (SMBs) modernize their phone systems in order to fulfill the telephony demands of their growing businesses.

"Nortel and Anixter have bundled this special business telephony offering to provide local SMBs a business-in-a-box solution that combines the best elements of high-end IP PBX phone systems, cutting-edge convergence solutions and robust data networking for a very affordable price," said Mandy Pascual, enterprise director, Nortel Philippines.

The Nortel BCM50 is said to diminish communications cost by combining separate voice and data services into one network, improving the communication through an auto attendant and voice mail features, and boosts employee productivity by enabling online collaboration inside and outside the office.

"Small and medium enterprises in the Philippines can now have the functionality of a big company phone system without a big-money investment, using Nortel's BCM50. And they can also do it in a minimal timeframe, thanks to Anixter's regional inventory supply." said Antonio Flores, Nortel Business Manager for Anixter Asia.

For an investment of $1,234 or approximately PhP 64,168.00 (tax-inclusive), Philippine SMBs and branch offices can purchase a telephony startup kit, which includes the Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM) 50, two analog trunks, eight digital phones and auto attendant. This limited offer stands until November 15, 2006 and all who will order before September 30 will also receive free voice mail worth $400 for eight users.
