Sadly, our planet's seas and oceans are currently home to quite a lot of trash. What's more, beaches are not as clean as environmentalists and conservationists would like them to be either.

Looking to raise awareness about the need to keep oceans, seas and beaches clean, artist Gilles Cenazandotti has taken up the habit of collecting bits and pieces of trash and using them to make animal replicas.

Trend Hunter tells us that this artist has until now created cheetahs, polar bears and even some weird-looking beasts from junk that he stumbled upon while exploring various beaches.

Courtesy of the fact the fact that there is plenty of trash to go around, Gilles Cenazandotti, who was born on the French island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea, was even able to color code the junk that he collected.

Besides, it would appear that the animal replicas created by this artist are all life-sized, which also goes to prove that, unfortunately, a lack of materials is never an issue for Gilles Cenazandotti.

The Corsican artist hopes that, by piecing together these life-sized beasts made from trash, he will be able to educate the public with respect to how overconsumption affects the animal world and natural ecosystems.
