SkyZone Entertainment, developer and publisher of a wide range of mobile games, announced the upcoming release of two new titles licensed from Universal Pictures: Animal House and Tic-Tac-Dough.
Based on the National Lampoon's Animal House comedy movie (first aired back in 1978), the Animal House mobile game is set to bring back the humorous universe from 30 years ago. What we have here is an action-strategy game that will ask you to "throw outlandish parties" inside the infamous Delta House. Helped by Bluto, Boon and Otter, you will also have to avoid the shutdown of the House by Deam Wormer. Quotes and scenes from the original movie are also featured: food fight, toga party and parade chaos are all there.
SkyZone's Tic-Tac-Dough mobile game will try to revive the atmosphere of the popular TV game show with the same title. You will get to test your brainpower through lots and lots of trivia questions.
Commenting on the upcoming mobile games, Key Sar, chief marketing officer for SkyZone Entertainment, stated, "Animal House and Tic-Tac-Dough are two jewels of the NBC Universal library that remain as relevant today as they were when they were first released. Releasing compelling content based on popular properties like these reflects SkyZone's efforts to always provide the highest quality in mobile entertainment that will appeal to every type of mobile gamer."
Jeremy Laws, senior vice president, Mobile & Broadband, Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group, added, "SkyZone has a fantastic track record with premium entertainment brands. We think they are the perfect partner to bring these classic titles, with inherent gameplay, to the mobile phone."
There are no screenshots yet, from neither of the future mobile games, but SkyZone says they will be both available soon. Animal House should be ready in the fourth quarter of 2008, while Tic-Tac-Dough will come at the beginning of 2009.
