Animal Crossing: Wild World features a very minimal plot. The objective of the game is to pay off a debt to Tom Nook, who allows the player to move into a house he owns. If the mortgage is paid off, the player's house will expand until upstairs, left, right, center and back rooms are included. This is slightly different from the Nintendo Gamecube version, in which the finished house only consisted of a basement, a main room and an attic. While paying off the debt, players can do a variety of optional tasks, including interacting with other villagers and filling the catalog of the things they have, like furniture, fish, clothes and stationary.

Animal Crossing: Wild World makes use of several of the Nintendo DS' features, including the touch screen, dual screens and internal clock. The touch screen is used for menu navigation and interacting with the surrounding area, including movement, using tools, talking to other villagers, entering buildings, picking up items, etc. The dual screens are used to display the overworld on the touch screen and the sky on the top screen, which varies depending on the circumstances.

Completing the museum

To finish the museum collection, go fishing for these fish first: Sea Bass, Bluegill, Crawfish, Frog, Crucian Carp, Catfish, and other fish sold under 1,000 Bells. Give them to the museum. Whenever you catch a fish worth over 1,000 Bells, sell it. Then, look for more expensive fish and donate them.
Note: These fish will also become more common, so look into donating Snappers.

To finish the bug collection, donate all four Cicadas, a Mosquito, a Fly, and a Honeybee first. Also donate some common butterflies. Next, hunt for Stag Beetles (found at night) and the Oak Silk Moth. Oak Silk Moths are brown and stay on trees, so look closely.

Next, dig up fossils. If it is not a torso, skull, or tail, donate them. After you donate some small fossils, such as ammonites and dinosaur tracks, look for skulls. Donate Sabertooth and Mammoth skulls first; they are very easy to complete.

Save up about 5,000 Bells each time Redd appears. If you get Lyle and say which day you want Redd to appear, he will arrive on that day. Buy a painting. If it is a fraud, dump it and fish for Snakeheads and Bass. If it is real, donate it. To also make the museum successful, go to the coffee shop once every day. After your cup, go back in the chair and say to Brewster, "I love this place!" if that option is available.

That hint was completely useless! It doesn´t matter at all in what order you donate things! I usually just donate everything new I get. And that has worked really well. I have allmost completed my museum!
