Pass your hand over the wall to turn the lights on

Your parents are out of town, and you have finally succeeded to win your dream girl's heart. After a night out, you invite her over your place and you are already thinking how to impress her. Unfortunately, your house was recently decorated and most of the things are still packed in boxes.

While the mind searches frantically for an idea, you remember about the last acquisition made by your family. You unlock the door, and here you are in the dark. The guest starts to search for the light switch, while you wave the hand in front of a region of wall to turn it on, after which you keep it there to adjust the light's intensity.

How can you do that? With a new type of light switch from Anigmo (a New York-based company), incorporating a proximity technology able to detect motion through various materials.

The exciting part about this product is that the switches can be masked so that they become completely invisible.

Thus, once mounted in the wall, the user is free to choose the material to cover the device.

With the risk of making some of your guests think you have completely lost your mind, you'll have to learn to wave at the walls. As I told you above, to turn on the lights, you'll have to pass your hand over the switch location, and in order to reach the desired level of light intensity, all you have to do is hold your hand over it.

The devices will be available starting this summer.
