Angus T. Jones practically grew up on the set of “Two and a Half Men,” the hit CBS sitcom on which he played Jack Harper until a couple of years ago, when a video of him calling the show “filth” and “Satan’s work” emerged online.

However, he doesn’t think kindly of the time he spent there, as part of one of the most successful and time-enduring comedy series of our times, which has withstood so far, the removal – and subsequent replacement – of two members of the principal cast, Charlie Sheen and Jones himself.

In a new interview with KHOU (video is available at The Wrap), the former actor says that, once he found and absolutely embraced God, he came to understand the error of his ways: and that consisted of being involved in something that went entirely against everything he believed in.

“[The show] was making light of topics in our world that are really problems for a lot of people, and I was a paid hypocrite, because I wasn't OK with it but I was still doing it,” Jones says.

The former star, who was made a millionaire by “Two and a Half Men,” being paid $350,000 (€251,238) for a single episode at the time the aforementioned video popped up on the Net in 2012, is now a student in Colorado.

He’s also a member of Houston’s World Harvest Outreach Church and he’s traveling the country speaking at church meetings about how he found God and turned his back on a life of riches and fame in Hollywood.

He doesn’t rule out the possibility of going back in front of the camera farther down the road but, this time, he wants to make sure he doesn’t end up in another nasty situation as it happened with “Two and a Half Men,” so he’ll be choosing his next projects more carefully.

“There's a few different productions that do kind of Bible-based stories and stuff like that,” he says.

When Jones first spoke against “Two and a Half Men,” no one expected this to happen, as he had managed to keep his private life from the press, despite the fact that he was one of the highest-earning actors of his generation in television.

However, some rumors were already circulating about how his role would be cut down, which eventually turned out to be true. Jake was then removed from the series altogether, after being demoted from “a regular,” but, by the looks of things, he doesn’t regret what happened.
