14 DAY TRIAL // So far, Tori Spelling has been very candid about all her marriage troubles with Dean McDermott, talking about them even after the Lifetime docuseries documenting their reconciliation, True Tori, wrapped. It turns out that she’s only willing to be this honest about it when it serves her interest.
This wasn’t the case the other day, when she stopped by the Fashion Police on E!, with Jennie McGarth, to promote their new ABC sitcom called “Mystery Girls.” For some reason, Tori was in no mood to talk about Dean and their problems, even though this had never happened to her before.
Embedded below is a video of the exchange between her and Joan Rivers, who, you will probably agree, was actually much nicer to her than she usually is with celebrities, guests or no guests.
“All the mess you were going through, was it easier or harder to have it in the magazines? Did it help to have people saying, ‘I know what you're going through?’,” Rivers asked.
Even before she was done voicing her question, Tori was already rolling her eyes and, correct us if we’re wrong, so was Jennie. Either they were promised no personal questions (which is odd, considering they were sitting right across from Rivers, who specializes in this), or they imagined they would only talk fashion and their new show.
Fashion was what Tori wanted to focus on, she told Joan after what seemed like a very uncomfortable pause.
“Um, I don't know, I'm just focused on my dress and my hair extensions right now. I just want to look pretty for Fashion Police. One day at a time, Joan,” she said, with her most fake smile possible.
If you’ve been keeping up with all the Spelling drama (which isn’t hard to do because it’s been everywhere for over half a year now), you know just how much Tori milked it. In fact, one could even say that she’s enjoying this comeback of hers thanks to the cheating scandal involving her husband, even though there still are many people not entirely convinced that any actual cheating happened.
Because she’s been talking about it every chance that came her way, because she seemed so determined to milk the scandal to keep herself in the headlines, media outlets and TV hosts did as they were bid – and just kept pressing her for details.
So Tori took questions on this topic both on Good Morning America and Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, with both appearances actually meant to promote “Mystery Girls.” All of a sudden, she’s no longer interested in talking about this because she wants to focus on the fashion, and she’s quite mad about being asked too.
We’re not gamblers, but we bet 10 bucks that Joan Rivers will have something to say about this – and it’s not going to be pretty, Tori can count on it.
