Boyband One Direction is currently under fire from the press and from their fans for a reported video leak in which two of its members, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, can be seen smoking drugs. This news has not gone well with fans who are now taking to social media to express their discontent.

Contactmusic reports that several hundred fans have turned on their formerly favorite group after it was revealed that they enjoyed doing drugs. The 5-minute clip shows the two members of One Direction apparently puffing on a marijuana cigarette during a tour stop in Lima, Peru, which took place on April 14.

Fans spoke harshly about the singers doing drugs and expressed their disapproval by tearing up concert tickets or even burning them as a sign of protest. Photographic evidence of the tickets being destroyed was posted as more and more fans followed suit, threatening to create a massive wave of discontent against the popular boy band.

So far, neither the band, nor its management has released an official statement about the incident that would try to explain the matter. The one comment made by their spokesman is that “the matter is now in the hands of our lawyers,” hinting that the band was looking to sue the source of the leaked video.
