Today, Finnish mobile games publisher Rovio has announced the availability of a new flavor of its popular Angry Birds in the Ovi Store, one that was specifically designed for the handsets running under the new Symbian^3 platform.

Starting today, the mobile game is available in the Ovi Store “in full effect,” the company announced.

At the moment, the game can be downloaded on handsets running under a number of no less than four mobile operating systems out there, including Android, iOS, Palm's webOS platform, and, of course, Symbian.

“Currently the most successful mobile game worldwide, Angry Birds has been downloaded on more than 25 million devices,” Rovio announced.

Indeed, the title was released on Google's Android platform only a week ago, and it already marked more than 3 million downloads.

For those who have not encountered the game until now, we should note that it puts them in charge of a quirky flock of birds that would intensely assault the hungry green pigs, which have stolen their eggs.

Basically, the game gives the player a slingshot with which he / she would send the Angry Birds smashing into the pigs and their puzzling constructions.

There are a total number of 105 levels included in the new Symbian^3 version of the mobile game, offering users the possibility to enjoy hours and hours of gameplay, along with free updates with more levels expected to become available for them in the future.

“We are very excited to partner with Nokia in the launch of the new Symbian^3 smartphones,” said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. “We see great potential in Ovi Store, and we're looking forward to steadily growing numbers of Angry Birds finding their way to Nokia devices.”

Those early adopters of Symbian^3 (which would be called simply Symbian from now) should head over to the Ovi Store on their device and download the mobile game.

Here's how the game is described in the app store:

Angry Birds for Symbian^3 (v1.2.1) The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds ’ eggs.

Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles. Angry Birds features challenging physics-based castle demolition, and lots of replay value. Each of the 105 levels requires logic, skill, and brute force to crush the enemy. Protect wildlife, or play Angry Birds!
