Android mobile phone users have received a few weeks ago access to a new mobile game, Angry Birds beta, and it appears that they already grew fond of it. The title already registered one million downloads in the Android Market, showing that it could become one of the most popular solutions released for Google's mobile OS.

Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio’s spokesman, is the one to announce the achievement, a recent post on TNW reads.

Although available only in a beta version at the moment, the Angry Birds game for Android was extensively tested so as to offer the best possible experience for mobile phone users.

Moreover, this extensive testing period is also said to have contributed to a close release of the full version of the game, though no specific details on when that would happen were unveiled for the time being.

It seems that the company was taken by surprise by the great success its mobile game already registered.

However, the company does plan on taking full advantage of this momentum, and unveiled that it considers porting the game to Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, PSP and NDS.

Interestingly enough, the company says that, while new Angry Birds games might land on the market, there will be no Angry Birds 2.

Currently, the company has a number of 27 employees, but it plans on adding some more developers to the team, while planning only a small number of games each year, so as to keep the titles select through making the story move forward.

Apple and Symbian devices should get in-app purchases in October, when the company also plans to pack support for Apple’s new Game Center in its iOS solution.

As stated above, the company did not unveil specific info on when the full version of its mobile game would arrive on Android handsets out there.

Hopefully, October would bring this Angry Birds flavor to the Android Market, and the title will become even more popular among users than it is today.
