Rovio has made available for download an update for its Angry Birds Space mobile game for the owners of Windows Phone devices out there, providing them with no less than 40 new levels.

According to the release notes attached to the new game iteration, this is the largest update released for it, as there are also 10 bonus levels available for users, in addition to the aforementioned 40 ones.

“Strap in and get ready for launch – it’s the biggest Angry Birds Space update ever! To celebrate over two years of epic intergalactic adventure, the all-new BEAK IMPACT episode has a whopping 40 new levels, plus another 10 bonus ones! Think you can master them all?” Rovio notes.

There are two parts of this update, each including 20 interstellar levels. However, Part 2 can only be unlocked by getting all the stars in Part 1, or via in-app purchase.

Additionally, users will be provided with four bonus levels by finding cool NASA research spacecraft, the Orion Crew Vehicle, OSIRIS-REx, Deep Impact and Dawn.

Each of the aforementioned two parts of the update includes three bonus levels, unlockable through getting three stars and a feather on each level.

Other features in the update include the option to call Aldrin, the legendary astronaut and moonwalker, when things get tough, along with the possibility of navigating through burning, freezing and radioactive space rocks.

Angry Birds Space for Windows Phone is available for download via the Windows Phone Store.
