Although Rovio launched “Angry Birds Space” on March 22, the game has already broken the 10 million downloads barrier.

The developer happily confirmed that its fourth installment of the Angry Birds franchise surpassed the 10 million downloads milestone only three days after its official launch on the market.

The number of downloads is not detailed, but it contains both iOS and Android platforms. However, while iOS users will have to pay 0.79 EUR to purchase the game, Android users can download “Angry Birds Space” for free, though this version features ad-support.

In other news, the developer initially confirmed that it did not have any plans to release a Windows Phone version of “Angry Birds Space,” but shortly after this statement another Rovio official stated that the company would launch a WP7 version after all.
