Owners of a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet PC from Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion can now download and install a new Angry Birds game on their devices.

Dubbed Angry Birds Space, the game was released several weeks ago on Android, iOS and other platforms, and proved one of the most successful titles in the franchise, only in hours after the official launch.

The game was launched with exclusive content for the owners of Samsung Android devices, including a special Danger Zone pack with 30 levels inside, and a Galaxy Note level.

These are not available for the BlackBerry PlayBook users today, but there are a few highly appealing treats that they will be able to enjoy.

The new Angry Birds Space comes with no less than 60 interstellar levels, and will benefit from regular updates, which should arrive on devices for free.

In the new Angry Birds title, the people over at Rovio, the mobile game publisher behind the franchise, included new birds, each of them with its own brand new superpowers.

Users will benefit from other features as well, including zero-gravity space adventures and being able to make trick shots using planets' gravity.

Additionally, they will be provided with access to hidden bonus levels, and will get the chance to admire the beautifully detailed backgrounds that the development team packed in each scene.

The game reportedly made it to the BlackBerry App World today, yet it might not appear as available in all areas right away. If it doesn’t, you should check on its availability via this link in a matter of hours.

While on other platforms the game was offered for free – though ad-supported – Angry Birds Space arrived on RIM’s PlayBook with a price tag of $4.99 (around 3.8 Euro). In the end, it might not seem that much, especially to those who don’t enjoy seeing ads popping up on the screen during gameplay.
