14 DAY TRIAL // Rovio has released the latest free update to Angry Birds, the company’s immensely popular puzzle platform that spurred a frenzy among members of the iOS community. Dubbed Angry Birds Seasons, the new app brings 25 daily newbies for to enjoy while counting down the days until the release of Angry Birds Christmas Edition.
Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finnish development studio Rovio. Since its release for Apple's iOS platforms, over 10 million copies of the game have been purchased. The title was also made available for other touch-based smartphones.
“From now on, every season is an Angry Birds season. After the special treats of Halloween, Angry Birds Seasons returns with another gift that keeps on giving: Season’s Greetings for the Holidays!,” Rovio announces via the app’s iTunes description.
The company’s Ville Heijari helps spread the word via the official Rovio blog, saying “Angry Birds Seasons is now available for download for iOS and Android devices!”
“Initially launched in the App Store as Angry Birds Halloween, the game has been expanded with a brand new festive level pack Season’s Greedings.”
Heijari reveals that “Season’s Greedings consists of 25 daily surprises for fans of Angry Birds to enjoy while counting down the days until Christmas.
The 45-level Halloween special edition, now packaged as a separate episode called Trick Or Treat, is also included in the game, Rovio said.
To download for iPhone or iPod touch, Angry Birds Seasons costs $0.99/£0.59/€0.79. Angry Birds Seasons HD, the iPad iteration, goes for $1.99/£1.19/€1.59/
Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Seasons HD are free downloads for customers who already purchased Angry Birds Halloween or Angry Birds Halloween HD.
