Angry Birds Rio, the popular mobile game that arrived on Android-based mobile phones only a few months ago, has just seen an update in the Android Market, and is now available for download with new levels into the mix and with a series of new features for users to benefit from.

The new flavor of the game, the Carnival episode, comes with a number of 15 new levels for users to enjoy, a rather small update, some might point out.

However, in addition to that, the game also introduces a new character into the mix, namely Blu, the macaw that is in the center of the Fox movie Rio.

The mobile application is available for download from the Android Market here, for free on all supported devices running under Android 1.6 or newer platform version.

The mobile game weighs in at 17MB, and was put for download with version 1.2.2 attached to it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Angry Birds Rio arrived in the Android Market over half a year after the original game was made available for download for Google's mobile operating system.

What Angry Birds Rio has to offer includes:

- Four fantastic episodes with 120 exciting levels - Completely new achievements - Special Hidden fruits - discover them all - Put your Angry Birds skills to the ultimate test in a spectacular boss fight - Expect plenty more where this came from: Episodic updates throughout 2011.

The game is based on the aforementioned Fox movie Rio, which follows the story of Blu and Jewel, two rare macaws in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

In the game, the original Angry Birds are kidnapped, and, after managing to escape, they set out to save the two macaws as well.

Angry Birds Rio has already registered millions of downloads and installs on Android, proving that Rovio indeed managed to release one of the most addictive games for mobile devices.
