Today, a new highly popular game makes its debut on Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system, namely Angry Birds. The mobile title was already available for users of devices running under Apple's iOS, under Google's Android platform, and under the Symbian OS, and is now available for more mobile users out there.

The mobile game was announced a few months ago as being on its way to the Windows Phone platform, and landed in the storefront just a few hours before the initially planned release date.

“At last. Angry Birds is now available in the Windows Phone Marketplace - a few hours ahead of schedule and so fresh it hasn’t even been rated yet. Be the first - or just hunker down with your phone and get dem pigs,” Microsoft's Michael Stroh notes in a recent blog post.

This is one of the titles included in the Must Have Game series for Windows Phone, and is expected to become one of the most popular game on Microsoft's platform in the very near future.

Until now, Angry Birds was downloaded over 250 million times, Rovio, the company behind the game, announced only last week.

The mobile game was made available for purchase for $2.99, but users can also try it out for free before making the purchase.

Angry Birds is an addictive game that comes with an impressive number of levels, almost 200 of them, and with physics-based demolition.

“The survival of the angry birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the birds' eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the angry birds to lay waste to the pigs' fortified castles,” the game is described on Xbox LIVE.

Angry Birds features hours of gameplay, challenging physics-based castle demolition and lots of replay value. Each of the 195 levels requires logic, skill, and brute force to crush the enemy.”
