A fisherman has completed his life long quest for an albino wels catfish. British angler Bernie Campbell landed the behemoth on the River Ebro near Barcelona, Spain.

During his trip with CatMaster Tours, Campbell landed the enormous catfish, which may just be the largest ever caught and his first albino catch.

Grind TV mentions that the fish is a record breaker and surpasses the previous titleholder by about 10 pounds (4.5 kg). The fish is about eight feet (2.5 meters) long.

Expert catfish angler and CatMaster Tours employee John Deakin mentions that several catfish have been caught in the river.

54-year-old Campbell had his son help reel in the catch with super-strength fishing line, after a 30-minute struggle. He released it after taking photos and weighing it.
