A judge has granted a request by Angelina Jolie to change the names of her two children. This decision reflects that Brad Pitt intends to become their adoptive father.
According to City News Service, Pitt is referred to as "the adoptive father-to-be" in Jolie's petition, suggesting another court round will be in order to give him the legal right to order Maddox and Zahara to clean their rooms.
Neither Jolie, nor Pitt attended the hearing. The names of the children will become Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt. Zahara celebrated her first birthday on January 8, while the boy, Maddox, is already 4.
Superior Court Judge Linda Lefkowitz approved the motion during a closed hearing about a month after Jolie's lawyers filed the paperwork.
The history of the two children is well known. The actress had adopted Maddox in 2002 in Cambodia, where she filmed "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider." And as for the 1-year-old baby girl, Brad Pitt was the one who accompanied Angie when she went to Ethiopia in July to adopt Zahara.
Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, announced on January 11 that Jolie is pregnant with Pitt's child. Asked by reporters when the 30-year-old sexy brunette is going to get married with the 42-year-old actor, Jolie attorney, Evan Spiegel refused to comment any further.
