Angelina is Nicole Richie's Long-Lost Mother

Now Magazine is reporting that Angelina Jolie seems to have found another charity case - and this time, it's not an African orphan, it's a real, flesh-and-bone celebrity. And if the reports are to be trusted, in the interval between deciding the nationality, skin color and age range of the next addition to the Brangelina brood, mommy Angie has decided to take Nicole Richie under her wing and help out with some parenting advice.

A source close to Angelina allegedly stated for Now that Angelina felt she needed to help Nicole stay on the right track, after the pregnant starlet apparently dissed her life of hard drinking: "With Nicole finally getting her life of drugs, booze and wild partying under control, Brad and Angelina have offered her a list of common-sense tips they felt would help".

Honestly, I tend to think that if this is true Angelina must be having a flashback guilt trip into her own agitated youth and at some level she sees herself in Nicole, otherwise I can't possibly imagine why she would like to share intimate, parenting advice with her. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting Angelina's generous heart, her altruism and everything else for all that matters - but Angie is the kind of person who always gives the impression that she's having a busy time trying to keep all aspects of her life under control. You'd think with four kids of her own, her charity work and her acting career (not to mention the relationship with Brad, when she can spare some time) Angie would have a full life. Question becomes then, what is there so interesting about Nicole to catch Angelina's eye?

"Angelina was especially concerned about the effects Nicole's years of partying could have on the baby" the source adds. "And knowing that Nicole has so much hanging over her, including a stressful court-ordered probation after her conviction for driving under the influence, Angelina felt she could use some help from another young mom". Yes, I must say, some stressful probation. It has to be a very difficult thing to manage, NOT drinking - especially when you've got nothing else to do all day than just trail around the shops with the paparazzi on your tail, spending money and essentially doing nothing.

In confirmation of the story, Nicole reportedly told a friend that "Angelina is like a surrogate mother - albeit a beautiful one who's nearer my age. But she has so much experience as a mom. She's my guardian angel - and so is Brad". I definitely think I am going to cry with emotion, everyone. Angie and Nicole are my idols. Kidding. But I'm sure that while they're swapping baby talk, they also touch upon such subjects as staying thin, losing weight and getting their anorexia under control.
