Angelina Jolie is reportedly considering helping Nadya Suleman out of financial troubles

As Nadya Suleman, the now almost infamous OctoMom, is receiving her babies home, two at a time, word in the industry is that her future is nothing but bleak as regards money. Aside from spending as much as a couple of thousand of dollars on clothes for herself, Suleman has lost several contracts with diaper and baby items companies, sources say. However, Angelina Jolie might be coming to her rescue, as gossip blogger Perez Hilton says, citing well-informed spies.

Although, in the past, when talk emerged of how much Suleman looked like Angelina Jolie, with the help of some plastic surgery, it had been suggested, rumor had it that the Hollywood actress was “creeped out” by the overnight star, she might have had a change of heart just recently. According to several reports in US tabloids and glossy magazines, Jolie is actually considering lending a helping hand to Suleman, especially now that she’s heading for troubled financial waters.

“Angelina is worried about the best interests of the kids. As a mom of six, she knows how chaotic and costly raising a big family can be.” an unnamed source tells the media, as quoted by Star magazine. “She doesn’t necessarily approve of Nadya, and she doesn’t want to turn the situation into even more of a circus.” the same spy adds, saying that the actress will see to it that Suleman gets all the help she needs without drawing more media attention to her case.

Speaking of media attention, it is precisely this that is costing Suleman contracts and endorsements. At first, it is said, the OctoMom was optimistic about raising 14 children (the octuplets and other six) despite not having a job, because she was certain her case, once it made it on TV and in the newspaper headlines, would draw attention and money from well-wishers. Now, since she’s been getting mostly bad press in recent weeks, it turns out that companies no longer want to have their name associated with hers.

Due to the backlash from the public, many sponsors are dropping OctoMom. According to an interview Nadya gave recently, Huggies and Pampers diapers already dropped their support. And diapers are pricey! OctoMom said, ‘All of the diaper companies and formula companies rescinded their offers.’ A rep for Gerber has also said they weren’t planning on donating to the family. Though, as a friend of Suleman points out, ‘The problem is that Nadya has become a lightning rod for bad publicity – and it is the babies who are losing out’.” Perez Hilton writes on his blog.
