She is worried she rushed to get implants so soon after mastectomy, claims tab

Earlier this year, Angelina Jolie went public with the fact that she’d undergone double mastectomy as a preventive measure because she was carrying a “faulty gene” that raised her chances of getting breast cancer later in life. She also had reconstructive surgery but, according to a new report, she is regretting the decision.

Jolie explained at the time that, because women in her family had a history with breast cancer – her own mother lost her life to the disease – she had genetic tests done to calculate her odds. The results weren’t encouraging, so she opted to take preemptive action and have her natural breasts removed.

Star magazine claims in its latest print issue (story via CB) that she now feels as if she rushed into getting reconstructive surgery so soon after the mastectomy, because she’s running a risk of infection and she’s experiencing serious pain.

Doctors warned her to wait for a few more months before going under the knife, the tab claims, but Angelina thought she was ready and, more importantly, that her body was ready for such an intervention.

“Angie’s new breasts are uncomfortable and painful and they’re driving her crazy. She did all the research, and she knew it was tricky to get implants so soon after the mastectomy. She’s not worried about cancer anymore, but her new fear is that she rushed into getting implants and there is a chance of infection,” an insider tells the tab.

Since she got the new breasts, Jolie has been suffering from “serious” back and shoulder pain, and considerable upper-body discomfort, and she’s already started seeing doctors, afraid that the implants might be leaking.

“Her new breasts look great, but they’ve been giving her problems so of course now she’s questioning everything. She feels like she opted for surgery without thinking it through. She thinks she didn’t listen to the best advice, and she’s really regretting it. She doesn’t want to make an issue about her implants, because she knows it will make headlines. But she is seeing her doctors and voicing her concerns,” the tipster shares for the publication.
